A lot of people are not aware that we have 5 different type of C of O in Nigeria
This is a very important information you need to know before buying a land.
- Residential C of O, also known as Individual C of O
You only get this kind of C of 0 if you a buy land in an area the government allocate for people to build houses and the C of O is valid for only 99 years. The C of O will expire 99 years and you are to renew.
- Agricultural C of O
You get this kind of C of O if you buy a land in an area the government allocate for the main purpose of farming. You will only be given a Agricultural C of O, any building built on the land not used for agriculture / farming is illegal.
This C of O is valid for only 25 to 28 years.
- Industrial C of 0
You get this type of C of 0 if you buy land in an area Government allocate for building industries.
- Family C of 0
Some reputable Omonile Family have their 0wn C of O in their 0wn name and its valid. This type of C of O does not expire. It is for life.
- Government Allocated C of O
This type of C of O is given when the land is bought directly from the government. The C of O will be taken directly from the Government and it is mostly a mixed used land ( for residential and commercial)
So before you buy next land, make sure you do your findings
