Real Madrid has announced that one of its players, Mariano has tested positive for COVID_19 and has since gone for isolation.
The announcement was made in a couple of statement this evening.
The player was tested this evening when they returned to training after they returned from a slight break.
This means that the forward, 26, will be out of the squad against Manchester City in few days time at the Etihad for the Champions League knock out.
The statement reads, “After the COVID-19 tests carried out individually on our first football team yesterday by the Real Madrid Medical Services, our player Mariano has given a positive result.
“The player is in perfect health and complying with the sanitary isolation protocol at home,” an official club statement read.
