The new owners of Newcastle United have began transfer negotiations that could bring the former Liverpool striker, Philippe Coutinho back to the English Premier League for €120 million.
Coutinho, whose loan from Barcelona to Bayern Munich will expire this season will be free after the German side made it clear they will not activate the €120m purchase clause on the player.
Agents to Coutinho believes the transfer will work upon successful takeover of Jame’s Park by the Saudi Arabia Wealth Fund.
Coutinho was revered for his style of play while at Anfield before he left for Barcelona for a whopping €160 million making the most expensive player ever signed at Barca.
However, his reign at the Nou Camp was shortened due to inability to prove his worth to the teeming Catalan fans.
