Canadian Premier League Highlight: Pacific FC 3-0 Cavalry FC
It was pride match day and there was plenty to celebrate at Starlight Stadium this weekend as Pacific FC recorded their biggest win of the season. The hosts battled to a 3-0 win over Cavalry FC. This sees them climb to the top of the CPL table. The match which took place on the 22rd of July, 2022 featured pre-match celebrations and Pride Towels donated by Volkswagen Canada. In addition, there were special tickets which included money donated to the Victoria Pride Society.
The game was a tie till the 23rd minute before Marco Bustos clutched his first goal of the season on the 24th minute. However, the match went on to seeing José Escalante score an own goal just 5 minutes into the 2nd half. Also Alejandro Diaz sealed the victory with a penalty in the 68th minute. Therefore extending his lead in the Golden Boot race. This makes him Canadian Premier League top scorer with 11 goals.
