Carlos Tevez Becomes an Head Coach
Carlos Tevez after hanging his boot from professional football has bagged a Managerial role of becoming the First team coach of Rosario Central. The football Legend who played for Various clubs including West Ham , Manchester United, Manchester City, Juventus after just few weeks of retirement is now to took over as coach of Argentine Giants Rosario Central.
Tevez played for Boca Juniors, where he scored 22 times in 66 league games. He left the club in June 2022, which brought an end to a spectacular playing career. Although, in over two decades of football he scored over 300 club goals, including spells in Argentina, Brazil, England, Italy and China. Tevez also scored 13 goals in 76 international appearances for Argentina.
Argentine giants Rosario Central announced the appointment of Carlos Tevez on a 12-month contract. The 12-month contract starts on Tuesday after reaching an agreement. Also the Club announced that Carlos Tevez would be assisted by a team of coaching staff.
The coaching staff will include Carlos Retegui. Although, media reports claims Carlos Tevez doesn’t have the requisite coaching badges for the role of head coach. But the addition of Carlos Retegui allows him to take a role from the bench. It is also said that Carlos Tevez will be joined by his brothers Diego Tevez, Miguel Tevez and Ariel Tevez. Tevez spent seven seasons in English football across with West Ham, Manchester United and Manchester City – retired from playing in 2021 after losing his father to Covid.
Vice President Speaks On Carlos Tevez
The Vice President of Rosario Central Ricardo Carloni said about bringing Tevez into the club: “When I met him, I saw that he has the flame of a winner. We talked about the club’s projects and he seemed very good to us. Also Tevez in a recent interview has stated his interest in becoming a coach. He said “I am going to be a coach. I have taken that decision. I have the same butterflies in my stomach as I had when I played. My teams are going to play the way I feel football.”
Carlos Tevez with no First team coaching experience has had connections with coaches. He has worked with in training sessions with Max Allegri and Stefano Pioli at Juventus and Milan respectively.
Rosario Central’s goalkeeper seems excited to working with Carlos Tevez saying. “For me it’s something special that Carlitos [Tevez] can come here. If he does come here, the group will back him to the death. I hope he comes. He has a lot of experience as a player and we are all predisposed to learn and to help Central,”
