Ligue 1 giant, Paris Saint Germain has confirmed that the duo of Edison Cavani and Tiago Silva will be leaving the club the summer transfer window.
Comsmedia can confirm that Silva has been linked with a move to the English Premier League side, Everton while is been linked with a transfer to Newcastle ahead of their £300m takeover from Saudi Arabia.
Cavani, 33, PSG’s all-time highest goal scorer, joined the club since 2013, scoring 200 goals in 300 appearances but, the Uruguayan has been struggling to sustain its record for the Parc des Princes this season after netting just seven goals in 22 appearances of late.
According to Leonardo, the club’s director, Cavani would be greatly missed as the set to let him go adding that they are left with no options.
“Cavani and Thiago Silva? Yes, we are coming to the end. The idea is to continue playing with them until the end of August.
“It was a very difficult decision to make; these are players who have marked the history of the club.
“Maybe we are wrong, I do not know, there is never a perfect moment. Now the Champions League is still in sight and the idea is to continue competing with them until the end of August. How it can be done is not yet clear legally,” said, Leonardo.
