Chelsea reach £40m an agreement for Hakim Ziyech as Frank Lampard set for a major clear-out at Stamford Bridge ahead of next season.
The 41-year-old English coach looks to revamp the Blues squad end of the season as the former midfielder aims to create space for new players ahead of the coming season with Morroco international set to be early arrival to the West London outfit.
Lampard tries to make a late approach for Ziyech in the January transfer window knocked back by Ajax but according to De Telegraaf, Chelsea and the Dutch club had already had a verbal agreement to bring Atlas Lions skipper to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Lampard set to overhaul the Blues squad with several big-name footballers set to depart former Premier League Champions of this current campaign with Marcos Alonso, Emerson Palmieri, Olivier Giroud, Michy Batshuayi, Pedro, Andreas Christian all look like their last season with the west London outfit, while the future of Jorginho, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Willian are in doubt.
Chelsea has also made enquires for Moussa Dembele of Lyon, Paris Saint-Germain striker Edison Cavani and Thomas Lemar from Atletico Madrid, Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana and Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope.
Chelsea will take on Manchester United in the Premier League on Monday night at Stamford Bridge following a 2-2 draw with Leicester City in their last encounter.
