Chelsea is prepared to vie for the signing of a top-notch attacker as they aim to battle Liverpool and Manchester United for RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
Werner has been in sensational form for the German outfit in the Bundesliga, he has scored 27 goals in 36 appearances for Leipzig so far this season.
Though Liverpool has been in the race to sign the 24-year-old attacker as The Reds manager is keen on strengthening the squad amidst of Sadio Mane’s exit rumour at the Anfield.
Chelsea has now joined the race as well as fellow Premier League rivals Manchester United and reports say that The Blues are also itching close to seal the deal after failing to land Lyon attacker Moussa Dembele.
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is also aiming to bolster the attacking line of the team and he considered Werner as a player with the necessary pedigree to lead the Red Devils attack.
The great form of their newly signed striker Odeon Ighalo from Shanghai Shenhua could force them to change their plans if they could seal a permanent deal for the Nigerian super striker.
Shanghai Shenhua has informed Manchester United to pay £15 million to make that move permanent after his impressive start at Old Trafford.
