Rangers clinched a 3-2 victory against Braga on Thursday evening as Steven Gerrard’s side fought from two goals down to complete a stunning turnaround at Ibrox.
It was a European evening that never looked remotely like ending positively for the hosts, but Ianis Hagi’s 67th minute strike provided the impetus for the Gers to flip the game on its head.
Joe Aribo scored an excellent solo goal to tie the game before Hagi found the net once again with a deflected free-kick.
There is still plenty of work for Gerrard’s men to do to progress into the last-16 of the competition, but their prospects look immeasurably brighter than they did when Abel Ruiz deservedly put the Portuguese outfit 2-0 up.
In the aftermath of proceedings, Gary Lineker posted a tweet about the game which prompted plenty of reaction from supporters.
These fans were simply grateful that the BBC Sport pundit had acknowledged the result, with one, perhaps unsurprisingly, taking a swipe at Chris Sutton in the process.
