The ex Manchester united and Watford player Ighalo has arrived the Nigerian camp ahead of the double legged world cup playoff qualifiers against the black stars of Ghana.
Odion Jude Ighalo has been in sintilating form for his club Al Hilal since his arrival in the January transfer window,the forward has quickly settled in the Saudi Arabia league. Al Hilal is the most successful team in the Saudi Arabia league with a total of 17 league title and recently won it in the 2020-21 season.
The Nigerian international Ighalo was on fire in their last league game Scoring an hat-trick as Al Hilal defeated Al-Ahi Jeddah 4:2. He been impressive for his club side scoring a total of 23 goals in 28 matches for Al Hilal as they continue their surge to reclaim the league title they won last season.

Augustine Eguavoen the current super eagles coach has come out to defend his reason for inviting Ighalo,he stated that Nigerian has a young squad and would need experience heads like ighalo which has been missing in the team, he also added that the young players would learn slot from the veteran and also create healthy competition in the squad.

Earlier, watford’s William Troost-Ekong, Leon Balogun, Ola Aina, Frank Onyeka and Semi Ajayi were the early birds to arrive the team’s camp.
