Manchester United identify new transfer target

The Portuguese attacking midfielder has been a revelation since joining from Sporting Lisbon in January and United may return for another Primeira Liga swoop.

Manchester United are reportedly considering turning their attentions to the Portuguese Primeira Liga again and are interested in signing FC Porto left-back Alex Telles.

The Red Devils are reaping the rewards of buying Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon in January, with the £47m signing completely transforming the team since his arrival, scoring eight goals and creating seven assists in the Premier League to help United to a third place finish.

United have also raided Portugal on a number of occasions in the past, snapping up the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani from Sporting.

And according to Portuguese publication Correio da Manha 27-year-old Telles is now in their sights as they look to find cover in the full-back positions.

His contract is due to expire at the end of next season, meaning Porto are open to the idea of selling him rather than losing him on a free in June.
