Guardiola reveals the worst defeat of his career

by comsmedia

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has revealed the worst defeat of his career and he admits that the heavy defeat against Real Madrid was the worst of his career.
Guardiola claimed that the Real Madrid defeat Bayern Munich 4-0 in the second leg of the Champions League semifinals in 2014 was his worst.
Real Madrid won the first leg 1-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu and the reverse fixture was a walkover for the Spanish giants.

He recalled to Post United: “The 0-4 with Bayern (was my most painful). I did things that I didn’t feel. I put all the blame on me. We couldn’t play like that against Real Madrid. It was a great team.”
Iker Casillas was in goal for Real at the time and Guardiola added: “I was with Zubi (Andoni Zubizarreta) for many years. As a rival, Casillas was one of those goalkeepers who stopped what they had to stop.”
Real Madrid will face Guardiola’s Manchester City again in the knockout stage later this month and Guardiola is hoping to get a move past Real Madrid this time.
