Hull City have lined up a friendly with Champions League hopefuls Sheffield United this weekend as Grant McCann’s side fine-tune their preparations for the Championship season to restart.
The Tigers discovered their revised itinerary for the remaining nine games of the campaign yesterday and a short window of preparation sees City facing a succession of warm-up games.
McCann has revealed three friendlies will be played this week to give his whole squad much-needed match action and it is understood one of those will be Sheffield United.
City are due to travel to Bramall Lane on Saturday, seven days before the Championship season resumes at home to Charlton Athletic. The fixture complies with the protocol that no opponent can be faced in a friendly if the journey takes longer than 90 minutes.
