Former England and leciester city Striker Emily Heskey has praised Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho as the best finisher in the club ahead of Jamie Vady.

Ahead of the Foxes trip to Arsenal, the fomer club legend acknowledged the fomer Manchester city startlet after his glorious goal in the UEFA conferences league against Rennes

Both sides met on Thursday night in the UEFA conferences league with the premier league team claiming a 2:0. win over the french side.

The king power outfit got things started early on the 29th minutes as Marc Albrighton coverted a low cut back from Harvey Barnes.

The second goal was scored by super eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho who dispatched Albrighton pass with finesse.The technique and manner in which the leciester city Striker used to score the goal has got both Kasper Schmeichel and former Liverpool striker Emily Heskey raving about the finishing prowess of the Nigerian international.
Emily Heskey speaking to the press said
“Kasper Schmeichel says Iheanacho is the best finisher at the club and that is fantastic. The finish was not easy at all,” he told BT Sport.

He also outlined the importance of the forward to Brenda Roger’s team,and how the team can find consistency in front of goal despite the absence of Jamie Vady,
He further said
“it’s great for him to score, especially with Jamie Vady being out.The club rely on Vady, but it’s not just about him”.

Kelechi Iheanacho who has scored a total of five goals this season and provided 9 assist in all competition this season, spoke to Leicester online tv

“it was a good performance from the team,we went 1:0 at halftime,and came out stronger to secure the victory in the second half, they are a good team but we were stronger; looking forward to the away game,I am happy with the goal. It helps get my confidence back, it is so important that we got that second goal for security. We don’t need to do a lot in the second leg, we just need to go there and play our football and win the game”.

He’s expected to start the game this weekend against Arsenal in the absence of Jamie Vady. The team are currently languishing in 12 position as injuries and inconsistency has been the theme of thier season this far.

Arsenal are currently in the fourth position one point above Manchester united and are expected to pose a much greater test than Rennes.

The likes of Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Martinelli will be a handful for the leciester city pair of Caglar Soyuncu and Amartey.
