Ledley King has been appointed as Tottenham’s first-team assistant, the club announced on Thursday.
King spent his entire playing career with Spurs where he racked up 323 appearances before retiring in 2012 due to chronic knee problems.
He will support academy players stepping up to the first-team level and work alongside the coaches, analysts and playing squad.
Mourinho told the club’s website: “I am extremely pleased to be welcoming Ledley into the first team group as we continue our preparations for the new season.
