Liverpool signs Ramsay
Liverpool signs Ramsey from Aberdeen. The left back Ramsay Calvin has completed his move to Anfield. Liverpool signs Ramsay and sees the 18 year old has a future rival for Trent Arnold. Liverpool signed him for a fee of £6.5m and add ons up to £2.5m which is a club record for Aberdeen.
Calvin Ramsay was player of the season in the Scottish league after a brilliant season. Also, he already agreed person terms and undergone medicals. Liverpool’s coach Jurgen Klopp has no intention on sending the young lad on loan.

Also, talking about the move on Liverpool’s official website, he said I’m just buzzing and it’s a dream come true really to be here,”
“It was a dream come true to play for Aberdeen, and now to be at one of the biggest, if not the biggest club in the world, it’s a massive achievement and I’m looking forward to trying to show the fans what I’ve got.
“Hopefully I can come in in pre-season, show everyone at the club, the staff, players what I’ve got and then we’ll see what happens from there.”
Also, speaking about his new teammates Trent Arnold and Andy Robertson he said, “As a full back, watching Trent and his crosses and his technical ability. If I can get to that level then it would be a bonus,” he said.
“Andy Robertson at Liverpool and (Kieran) Tierney at Arsenal have been brilliant and they’re players I look up to. Also especially as they are full-backs like me. I feel I could go on to do that as well.”

Nonetheless, Ramsay break out season saw him make 33 appearances scoring a goal and making 9 assists in all competitions. This performances got him the Young player of the year Award. He also featured in the Europa conference League.
The signing of Ramsay is the third signing of Liverpool after already signed Fabio Carvalho and Darwin Nunez. Ramsay will be Aberdeen’s record sale. The record was held by Scott McKenna who was signed for £3m by Nottingham Forest
