- Leipzig do not reduce Werner price tag
Liverpool will look to sign Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele this summer if RB Leipzig refuse to drop their asking price for Timo Werner.
Reports this week have suggested that Liverpool have dropped out of the race to sign Germany international Werner, but Comsmedia that is untrue. Indeed, The Reds have threatened Leipzig, though, that they will pursue over targets.
Werner, 24, has scored a whopping 30 goals in 39 games this season. He has a release clause of £50million, but Liverpool are unwilling to pay that and are only willing to go as high as £40million. His release clause reduces to just £36million in 2021.
who state that if Leipzig fails to reduce Werner’s asking price – they will turn to Barcelona’s £100million (Comsmedia) signing Dembele. Barca want the Frenchman off the wage bill, and could even loan him out.
It is believed the former Dortmund star’s value has plummeted to less than half the figure Barca paid for him – and Barcelona are desperate to offload the World Cup winner. If Leipzig remain stubborn, Liverpool will go after Dembele.
