Real Madrid will be without natural left-backs for their upcoming clash against Osasuna and Atletico Madrid in the La Liga.
The club has published a medical report of Ferland Mendy’s injury after the French defender suffered a groin injury in his left leg.
The club website posted the report as following tests carried out today on Ferland Mendy by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he was has been diagnosed with an abductor muscle injury in his left leg. His recovery will be assessed.
Mendy will be sidelined for two weeks, which means Real Madrid will be without a natural left-backs in the team for the period of time, following the injury to Mendy and Marcelo.Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane will turn to Nacho Fernandez to provide a cover for the left back position when they face Osasuna on Wednesday and Atletico de Madrid on Saturday.The groin injury sustained by Mendy is the third injury since he joined Real Madrid from Lyon in the summer.
