Manchester United has agreed to sign Olympic Lyon’s striker, Mousa Dembele for £61.8 million in the summer transfer window when full action kicks off.
This would mean that Chelsea is technically out of the transfer chase.
Although, there have not been official statements from the two clubs, United and Lyon on this effect.
According to analysts, the prolific striker could be United’s front man missing link in the attack.
Dembele is said to be deadly in front of goal and with the array of young players the club is trying to build, the striker fits perfectly into that role.
Another school of thought is of the opinion that Dembele may not be capable to handle a high profile club such as Manchester United but with his wealth of experience haven played in the Scottish Premier League for Celtic F.C. and now in the French professional league, his move to United will put him in the spotlight.
