Mikel Arteta wants Aubameyang to remain at the Emirates

Mikel Arteta on Monday has insisted that the Gabonese international, Peire Emerik Aubameyang should remain in North London over stalled negotiations between the player and the club.

With 12 months left on his contract expiration, the club is left options of either extending his contract or allowing him to leave.

“I think it’s our responsibility to make him feel this is the right next step in his career,” said Arteta.

“In order to do that he needs to feel valued, that he belongs to us and we want him and then he needs to continue to believe that we can take this club forward in the way we want to and that he’s going to be a key player to do that,” Arteta said.
