Super Eagles winger, Moses Simon has recently rated his French Ligue 1 side, Nantes’ chances of winning defending Champions Lille at the Stade de la Beaujoire on Saturday, March 19, 2022.
Nantes lost by 1-0 by Troyes last weekend with the only goal of the encounter scored by Ike Ugbo – a result that put La Maison Jaune The Yellow House, in the 7th position in the Ligue 1 table on 42 points from 28 games, one point behind 6th-placed Lille.

Simon believes the team will need support from the twelveth player, who are the fans, and they will have to give everything to achieve home victory against Lille.
“Yes of course, we have to do it for ourselves and for the fans. The defeat at Troyes disappointed the team, but it’s something that should serve us for the rest of the season, in order to know what they really want,” Simon told Fcnantes.com.
“Obviously we have to rely on this positive series and this is also possible thanks to the support of our supporters.
“They really bring motivation during each match, we always give the maximum not to disappoint them and we hope take it on Saturday.
“Lille are a very big team in our Championship, they are also the defending champions and we must not forget that.
“They are on a good run, but I think we have also been in a good dynamic in recent weeks.
“We will have to give everything and we will see at the end what will be the result of this match .
“For me, we will have to give everything, play as a team and show a lot of solidarity between us.
“Everyone is ready and concerned by this very big meeting that is coming.”
Simon has scored three goals and recorded seven assists from 23 appearances in Ligue 1 this season.
Moses has been recently invited to the 23 man squad and with his exciting form he is sure to be a game changer for the national as they face the black stars of Ghana on the 25th of March in Ghana before playing in Nigeria four days later as they try to pick up a place for Qatar 2022.
