PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN lifted the Coup de France after a bad-tempered clash against St Etienne.
This was the first competitive football played in France since March and Thomas Tuchel’s men got off to an excellent start, with Neymar netting in the opening stages.
But after a mass brawl on the half hour mark, Kylian Mbappe left the field in tears due to injury while Loic Perrin was shown his marching orders – and in total there were TEN cards dished out.
- Final score: PSG 1-0 St Etienne (Neymar 14′)

Thiago Silva hoists the French Cup into the air. PSG have done the league and cup double. They will want to turn this into a domestic treble next week against Lyon in the League Cup final.
They lost this competition in the final on penalties to Rennes last year – so they’ll be happy to have PSG ribbons back on the trophy.
Good effort from St Etienne tonight, but they came up short. That red card in the first half was a key moment and it was uphill all the way from there.
So PSG have their hands on the French Cup again, but this will be their main concern leaving the stadium tonight…
