Jamie Vardy – 23 goals

Form since restart: three goals in five games

Expected goals in 2019/20: 16.17 (-5.83)

The Leicester City striker joined the Premier League 100 club when he netted twice during their 3-0 win over Crystal Palace last weekend.

Vardy should have plenty of opportunities to get on the scoresheet in the final four games and the Foxes will need him to if they want to cling onto a Champions League spot.

The 33-year-old came close to winning the Golden Boot once before. During their incredible title winning season in 2015/16 he missed out by one and even missed a penalty on the final day of the season that would have tied for the prize.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – 20 goals

Form since restart: three in six games

Expected goals: 14.68 (-5.32)

Aubameyang had a share of last year’s prize and has a phenomenal record for Arsenal in the Premier League.

The forward has 52 goals in 81 league appearances and became the first person since Thierry Henry to score 20 or more times in consecutive seasons.

The Gunners have two tough games coming up with the north London derby followed by a visit from the current champions.

The final two games of the season, against two horribly out of form sides, may be the perfect opportunity for him to overtake Vardy.

Aubameyang has the chance to win his second Golden Boot

Mohamed Salah – 19 goals

Form since restart: three in four games

Expected goals: 18.21 (-0.79)

Aubameyang may have an incredible record but Salah’s is even better. The Egyptian forward has 73 Premier League goals in 104 appearances.

He has so far won the Golden Boot in both of his full seasons with Liverpool and helped fire them to the title this campaign.

The run in will provide ample opportunity for Salah to try and catch those ahead of him but he may have to rely on them not adding anymore to make it three in a row.
