The 27-year-old will be keen to play first-team football having fallen down the pecking order at Burnley.
Burnley forward Matej Vydra is set to sign for Rangers on loan until the end of the season, according to the Daily Record.
The 27-year-old has made nine appearances for the Clarets this season, although he has been used largely as a substitute.
Vydra has never really been in favour during his time at Turf Moor.
The man with 26 caps for his country signed for the Clarets in 2018 from Derby County.
A proper run in the side hasn’t been forthcoming and as a result, Burnley haven’t seen the Vydra that was scintillating at Watford and Derby.
Rangers are on the lookout for more firepower. Jermain Defoe suffered an injury on Wednesday night and is set for a spell out of action.
Alfredo Morelos is the first-choice centre forward at Ibrox and Vydra will provide some competition.
The Czech-born performer can also play just off a striker and that will give Steven Gerrard some options.
Vydra earns £35,000-a-week at Turf Moor and Rangers are now hoping to strike a deal with the player before the deadline at midnight.
The Daily Star claims that Vydra will sign for the Gers on loan before making the move permanent in the summer.
Rangers fans are seemingly ecstatic at this news and have taken to Twitter to rave about the potential deal.
