Ryan Giggs Steps Down As Wales Coach

Former Manchester United Player and Legend Ryan Giggs has resigned has the head coach of Wales. The Wales coach has been on leave since November 2020. He has been assisted by Robert Page who has now led Wales to their first World cup in 64 years.

Ryan Giggs Accusations

Ryan Giggs has been on leave due to him facing a case of domestic violence. He will be having a case Trial in Manchester come August 8. He was accused of Coercive and controlling behaviour by his former girlfriend Kate Greville around August 2017 and November 2020.
The 48 year old former Manchester United star was also accused of physical abuse on kate Greville causing bodily injuries and harm. Also he was accused of bodily harming Kate Greville’s sister Emma Greville at his home in Worsley, Greater Manchester on November 1, 2020.
The Former Manchester United star Pleaded not guilty to all claims and accusations and awaits trial on the 8th of August.
Roberts Page who led Wales to the world cup would be incharge of the Welsh national team fo the world cup competition. Although, Ryan Giggs resignation is based on the fact that he doesn’t want his situation to affect the focus of the national team as they prepare for the world cup.

Wales National Team Exploits

Giggs who has a player made 64 appearances for his Country took over from Chris Coleman as manager. Giggs managed the Wales National team brilliantly. He was fuelled by the brilliance team captain Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey. He qualified them for Euros 2020 which was their second consecutive competition.

However due to the Pandemic of 2020 and Giggs trial, Robert Page who was appointed 2019 took Wales to the Euros Final. Robert Page worked hard with the Wales team and they finished second place in the 2020 Euros behind Belgium.
However, wins over Austria and Ukraine secured Wales spot for a place at the World cup . For the5 first time since 1958. Robert Page talking about his future with the National team. He said his contracts runs as long as the Welsh team are at the World cup.
Team Captain Gareth Bale also said “I think he is the long-term manager. I don’t think there is any question in the changing room or from the fans.
“He’s done an incredible job coming in, in difficult circumstances. Everyone with him has a great relationship.
“I guess that’s why you achieve big things when your team is happy and your manager is doing well.”
