Sergio Kun Aguero may miss the rest of his club’s tie in the knock-out stages of the UEFA Champions League due to a knee injury he sustained Monday night against Burnley.
The striker was accosted out of the pitch just before the half-time.
According to the coach, Pep Guardiola, the Argentine will head to Barcelona on Thursday to get his knee operated on adding that the surgery would determine how long he would be out of play.
“Thursday, he’ll have surgery with Dr Cugat in Barcelona.
“Once he finishes the surgery maybe we’ll know exactly the time when he can come back to join us and play with us.
“We don’t know right now about the Champions League. After surgery, we’ll know exactly what the doctor sees and exactly what he has done. He will tell us more about the time to come back,” said Guardiola.
