It was a beautiful outing for Bayern Munich as they defeated Salzburg 7:1 to cruise into the champions league quarter final
The Bavarians were relentless as they thrashed Austria Champions Salzburg with a 6 goal margin in the Allianz arena.

The first leg ended in a 1:1 draw as it took a stoppage time equalizer from Kingsley Coman to salvage a draw for the Bavarian Gaint.
The first half started with Salzburg attacking the Bayern Munich goal with intent. But they didn’t expect what would come after thier early pressure.
Robert Lewandowski got things started as he coverted the first penalty on the 12th minutes sending the goal keeper the wrong way.
He got his second goal through another penalty on 21st minutes before completing his hat-trick on the 23th minutes becoming the fastest player to score a treble in the UEFA champions league overtaking Marco Simone for Milan vs Rosenborg in 1996 (24min).
Serge Gnabry scored the fourth goal before halftime with Salzburg looking buried and out. Julian Nagelsmann men went into the break leading comfortable.
The second half started in similar fashion as Bayern Munich added the fifth goal through Thomas Muller, 10 minute into the second half.
Salzburg got a goal back through Maurits Kajergaard with returning goalkeeper Manuel Neuer failing to keep the ball out of the back of the net.
Bayern Munich didn’t let thier foot off the gas as Thomas Muller scored his second goal and his sides sixth of the game.
The rout was completed on the 85th minute,Leroy Sane putting the final nail to the coffin as Bayern ran out with an emphatic seven 7:1 comfortable win.
Julian Nagelsmann told the press, “it was a very good match football -wise, wanting to win, full of energy”, When we have this kind of energy, we are hard to stop.if we play like this in the Bundesliga, things would be even clearer than they are right now”.
This Salzburg side due to thier inexperience and over excessive foray upfront lead to Bayern Munich exploiting thier errors and punishing them emphatically.
They have a very young squad with players like Adeyemi, Okafor and Adamu catching the eyes of big European clubs, they’re sure to lose some of their talents to the big guns, but if there is one thing we have seen from this club is that they aren’t short of talents, and they would come back strongly.
This win would send out a statement from Bayern Munich to other team still in the champions league
