Tributes have been paid to Sheffield United footballer Maddy Cusack, who has passed on at 27 years old.
Cusack had played for the side since 2019 and last season turned into the first player to show up for Sheffield United Ladies.
In a statement Sheffield United said she had likewise filled in as a promoting leader for the football club.
Offering recognition Stephen Bettis, the club’s CEO, said she would be “unfortunately missed”.
Sheffield United paid tribute to Maddy Cusack
“This is shocking information for everybody at Bramall Path,” he said.
“Maddy had a remarkable place of being important for various teams at Sheffield United and was well known with everybody that she came into contact with.
“Her character and impressive skill made her a sound representative for her family, she will be unfortunately missed.
“While taking in the news and pushing ahead, the Club will propose however much help as could reasonably be expected to Maddy’s family, companions and partners.“
He added that the club were in conversations over a “reasonable” tribute.
